Laguna D'zur was designed and established by Award winning talented Chef Kaibil Velazquez. He has studied and achieved distinguished qualifications, with intense culinary training under some of the worlds renowned Master Chefs. Who supported and inspired his passion, achieving an astonishing repertoire. Velazquez has had the privilege to be part of exceptional award winning brigades, like Simply French Melbourne, Lynch’s (Australia’s only Michelin Gold Statue recipient), Conrad Treasury casino, Michael’s Riverside Brisbane, MaMMa Du, Pieros by Toni Sassi Crown casino, Milch in Falls Creek (Kaibil named best Chef on the alpine resort), and to be selected as one of Australia’s chef’s to be part of the elite brigade to open the Luxurious Palazzo Versace, and other highly respected establishments. Kaibil has received accolades in various reputable magazines including Open House, Chef to Chef (ACF) South Coast Style (Hot Restaurateur/chef 2007/2006, Host in 2007 Tucker Trail), Holidays for couples 2004/2005, Weekends for two 2004/2005, Take 5 and numerous National Newspapers. Velazquez has appeared on Channel Seven and Ten, demonstrating his passionate culinary skills. Our display ranges from sauces, vinaigrettes, shortbreads, pan- forte, specialty breads, Exotic marinated poultry and seasonal innovative salads. These products are made and packaged here at the Restaurant using natural ingredients free from preservatives, colors or additives.
