Mixed feelings about the Beach Cafe. I love the setting, of course, and the decor and furniture is just so wonderful and sympathetic to the setting. BUT.. always too crowded - except rarely, in the late afternoon, after lunch, before dinner, for a quiet coffee, it's magic. I've generally found the food quite ho hum, and once when visiting friends took me there for breakfast, I was really embarrassed at the poor service and unappealing food. Not to mention the prices. Surely a restaurant with this wonderful location, and the solid reputation of the owners, doesn't need such incentives? It's not a good look. read less

Great Food. Excellent view. Ok service. The Byron Beach Café has only been open since the beginning of the year and is owned and run by the same people who are responsible for the well known Dish Restaurant and Raw Bar. The furnishings at the Byron Beach Café are perfect for the location and all indoor and outdoors tables take advantage of the stunning view. I have dined her for breakfast, dinner and lunch over the last couple of months and most recently enjoyed the goats cheese gnocchi ... read more with sage butter, zucchini, spinach and roast tomatoes all nicely finished off with some crispy Parmesan …fabulous. The wagyu beef burger served with shoe string fries is also a must! The café is licensed and prices are more on the heavy side…$19 for the wagyu burger to give you an idea.
